25 Jan Success Consciousness: A Few Thoughts From Our President, Jeff Russell
I am reading Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill again this year. Actually, I am studying it. For the past six years, I have done this at the end of the year/beginning of the New Year. It amazes me that every time I reread certain books, I pick up new things that I hadn’t when reading them previously.
In this particular book, I really like the first ten pages. Here’s a quote that stands out:
“Success comes to those who become success conscious. Failure comes to those who indifferently allow themselves to become failure conscious.” Amazing, right?
So, the trick is then to become success conscious. Let’s start with what it means to be success conscious.
Think of it as a state of mind, and a state of mind where you think of something as fact. There is no other option to succeed, so your mind solely focuses on success.
It can start with simply writing down your dreams and goals. Then choose just one and decide on how to be success conscious of making it a reality.
Depending on your dream or goal, you most likely will have to do something. For instance:
- Go back to school
- Learn Excel
- Have a better relationship
The important thing is to pick one thing to be success conscious about. And also, don’t forget to celebrate once you’ve successfully achieved the item you selected.
From there, you can go back to your list and select a new item.
Life is good. – Jeff
