With a passion for people and a tireless drive for business innovation, Jeff Russell leads American Trust Escrow alongside co-founder, Scott Akerley. As President, Jeff directs strategic initiatives and oversees operations in an environment built on human potential, understanding and compassion. It is this philosophy that built the company from a two-man corporation nearly ten years ago to the thriving escrow organization it is today.

A third generation Los Angeles native, Jeff entered the business arena during the emergence of a new age—the digital revolution. Recognizing the opportunities that technology held, Jeff joined a global high tech firm in international sales that encompassed the United Kingdom, Netherlands, Asia and the United States. He applied himself to the study of diverse cultures, peoples and personalities, rapidly rising from manager to co-owner. Over time and several executive management positions, Jeff developed his modus operandi —a framework of empathy and persistent learning that would become the foundation for American Trust Escrow.

Dedicated to keeping the company at the forefront of the industry, Jeff endeavors to provide his team with the tools needed to succeed—relevant marketing materials, state-of-the-art software, the latest regulations and an abundant supply of optimism. His charismatic leadership, progressive thinking and traditional values are fixtures at American Trust Escrow. Jeff is a former member of the Los Angeles Escrow Association and an active participant in the business community. He divides his time between business commitments, a voracious reading schedule and last but certainly not least, his wife and daughter.
